I'm sorry, but I feel I need to share this and I'd like to hear some advice from people.

And let it be known that when I say "they" it's just the one person. I didn't feel the need to name drop.

I'm pissed off with one of my closest friends. They've really gotten my goat for a long while now and really, to me their head is up their arse. Covered in shit and that's all that comes out from their mouth.

This is what happened: After a few drinks in a local pub, a group of us where walking home. My mate from Cambridge was back up and he studies religions as his major. So, the subject goes onto religion and blah blah blah. One thing that was said that, it doesn't matter what you believe in you're still a Catholic at heart. Then my friend whom am angry at happens to say even if they disprove god the church would still say that. I then said that wouldn't stop me from believing in the Norse gods, then they said, "yes it would because they'd be dis proven" I ask how disproving the Christian god disproves all others and said it was a crock of false logic. They go on a mini rant. I said "why can't you just be happy that I have some form of spirituality and why do you think I'm stupid for believing in something" They then said "it's stupid to believe in any god period."

That the main gist of things that happened. They more or less called anyone who believes in a god or otherwise: stupid. Thank you very much, now stop sucking Richard Dwarkins' cock.

And they had hard ons for Loki and practice chaos magic as well and have had a few supernatural encounters.

I feel that they didn't want to come off as well, weird to the rest of my friends, which is funny cos they're not superficial. At least I thought they weren't. So, to me, they are a coward.

And, their attitude to me has gone beyond offensive, to me it's down right soul crushing. They've also adopted this whole Jekyll/Hyde persona, they'll never take anything seriously and treat everything like a joke and then go all high and mighty and almost look down on me and my opinions. This has happened too many times and I am fucking sick of it.

For example, they'll be bubbly and really cheerful. But as soon as something's said that they disagree with they'll pretty much impose their opinion and claim the moral high ground as soon as possible. Now, I'm sure alot of people are like that at times, but my friend just doesn't know when to let the baby have it's fucking bottle.
